ARTIST BIO

Australian born artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bianca Smith works from her studio in Battersea London.

Bianca’s work features mainly the female form and non-figurative shapes representing forms seen in nature. In her an abstract cubist style, with her signature look of thin black lines over her abstract shapes painted in gouache and acrylic paint.  With a diverse following ranging from English royalty to Rock Royalty, private collectors and top interior designers, both in the UK and abroad.  Featured in many magazines:  Vogue, Homes & Garden, AD, House & Garden,  Elle & the Andrew Martin review.

What distinguishes my style is that at the end of each painting I paint thin black lines in gouache using a very fine sable brush - this method concentrates the painting and makes it pop

With beautiful colours, she paints people, animals, objects and it’s very distinctively her style

Featured Artwork - ‘Spring Belle and Tiger Tulip’

“’Spring Belle and Tiger Tulip’ was inspired by my love of tulips, especially my favourite which is a Tiger tulip - so I created a composition of one of my cubist girls reclining in a spring garden holding one.”
