ARTIST BIO

Jonjo Elliott is a mixed-media artist working from his studio in Leicestershire. His vibrant and contemporary still life paintings are inspired by domestic spaces.

He is interested in the interplay between abstraction and representation set out in scenes which feature detailed interiors, portraits, landscapes and still lifes. Plants play a large role in each setting as they offer glimpses of life and growth in a richly coloured world where pattern and shape is a predominant feature. Each work offers a scene which could be walked into, familiar yet fantastical, a growing collection of stories which he translates through a language of visual representation.

Jonjo is inspired by Basquiat, Hockney and Picasso, as well as many contemporary artists along with designers and photographers. His art brings colour and delight into the homes of his collectors, who are found all around the world.
