There’s something so restful about being by the water. I’m continually drawn towards it. As a child all our family holidays were aboard my parents boat. From the boat I would stare out to sea and wonder at the water and how I might paint it. It’s been a long standing passion of mine!

Thankfully only a short walk from my home is Clapham Common where there is a beautiful boating pond. Post lockdown I have been setting up my easel by the water and enjoying the feeling of freedom of being outside and in particular capturing the many colours reflected in the water as well as the bright, sunlit trees along the path. Utter bliss!
