Bespoke Painting in the Style of Fernando Botero for a Private Library in London

A bespoke commission in the style of Fernando Botero, curated for a private library in London. The painting was created by David Henty, widely regarded as one of the world’s leading master copyists, and pays homage to Botero’s bullfighting series.

Our client engaged Artfully Sorted for art consultancy services in London, seeking a highly considered work that combined technical mastery with a strong curatorial narrative, while sitting confidently within a refined library setting.

We facilitated the commissioning process from concept through to completion, working closely with the artist, who undertook dedicated research for this project, including a visit to the Botero exhibition in Rome to study his artworks first-hand. We also sourced a period frame through one of our specialist framers in London, carefully hand-picking the final option to complement both the painting and its interior context.

This project reflects our approach to art consultancy in London, combining access to exceptional artists with end-to-end commissioning, framing, and installation management.
