Bespoke Abstract Art Commission for a Private Residence in South West London

A bespoke abstract painting by Megan Hatton, commissioned and installed in a living room in South West London.

Our client engaged Artfully Sorted art consultancy services in London to source a new artwork that would sit harmoniously within a sophisticated interior scheme while complementing their existing art collection. The brief called for a piece that would introduce texture and warmth, balancing the room’s refined palette without overpowering it.

Following a detailed consultation, we identified a bespoke commission as the most appropriate approach, allowing the artwork to be developed in direct response to the space. We managed the commission process in close collaboration with both the client and their interior designer, ensuring alignment across composition, scale, and materiality.

In addition to the new commission, we oversaw the reframing of selected existing artworks and curated a cohesive gallery wall, creating a considered dialogue between the new piece and the wider collection. The result is a layered and balanced living space, where each work contributes to the overall rhythm and character of the interior.

This project reflects our approach to art consultancy in London, combining bespoke commissions with thoughtful curation to ensure each artwork is fully integrated within the home.
